Scott Abel
Founder, CEO, Chief Strategist
Known affectionately as “The Content Wrangler,” Scott Abel is an internationally recognized intelligent content strategist and cognitive computing evangelist who specializes in helping organizations deliver the right content to the right audience, anywhere, anytime, on any device. He is the co-author of Intelligent Content: A Primer and The Language of Content Strategy (XML Press)
Scott is the founder, CEO, and chief strategist at The Content Wrangler, Inc. He co-produces Information Development World Conferences, produces a popular series of content strategy books, and is the host of the San Francisco Content Strategy Content Marketing Professionals Meetup. Scott is also a highly sought-after keynote presenter, moderator, and a frequent contributor to content industry publications. He manages one of the most widely-viewed webinar channels on the BrightTALK network, producing over 100 content-focused webinars a year.
In 2016, Brand Quarterly Magazine ranked Scott as one of the 50 most influential marketing thought leaders. Scott hosts one of the most popular content-focused webinar shows on BrightTALK, attracting tens of thousands of viewers annually. Scott co-produces several events including Information Development World Conference, Nov. 27-29, 2018 in Menlo Park, CA.
Scott is a popular presenter (and panel emcee) at content industry conferences including Intelligent Content Conference (an event he co-founded and later sold to Content Marketing Institute), Content Marketing World, Localization World (North America, Europe, Asia), Society for Technical Communication Summit and others. He’s also a founding member of Content Management Professionals and the organizer of San Francisco Content Strategy Content Marketing Pros Meetup. He has served as a lecturer at the School of Information, University of California, Berkeley.

Scott’s social networking group on Linkedin, The Content Wrangler Community, is a global network of content professionals that attracts tens of thousands of members from around the world. He also has a large following on Facebook and Twitter.
Scott is a frequent contributor to a variety of trade publications, including EContent magazine, where he writes a column called “Flexing Your Content” and Intercom Magazine, where he interviews the movers and shakers in the content industry in a column called, “Meet the Change Agents.”
Scott’s alter ego, The Audio Wrangler, is a popular DJ and dance music mashup artist.

Joan Manuel Rivera
Director of Operations
Joan is a seasoned event management professional who served previously as Assistant Managing Director, Office of Special Events for the City of Philadelphia. He’s worked to organize and help plan events of all sizes, including the 2016 Democratic National Convention, Made in America Festival, and a host of local city sponsored events. At The Content Wrangler, Joan will help plan and direct events including Information Development World Conferences and the San Francisco Content Strategy Content Marketing Professionals Meetup.

Trey DeGrassi
Executive Assistant
Trey has a wide range of life experience including an undergraduate degree in psychology, studying medicine, working as a teacher, and managing teams of volunteers for non-profits. He has been with The Content Wrangler since July 2012.
