World Information Architecture Day 2016 is a one-day annual celebration of — what else? — information architecture. Hosted in dozens of locations around the world by local organizers on February 20th, 2016, World IA Day focuses on telling stories of information being architected by everyone from teachers to business owners; technologists to artists; designers to product managers.
This year, the World IA Day celebration brings together a diverse community including information architects, user experience designers, content strategists, product managers, developers, scholars, and students to talk about and shape the future of information architecture. Because of the ubiquitous nature of information, information architecture not just practiced by specialists, but by people holding all sorts of titles, coming from all walks of life. The theme of World IA Day 2016 is “Information Everywhere, Architects Everywhere”.
