According to the editors of Wikipedia, graphology is the “pseudoscientific study and analysis of handwriting, especially in relation to human psychology. In the medical field, the word can be used to refer to the study of handwriting as an aid in diagnosis and tracking of diseases of the brain and nervous system.”

But, in addition to spotting early signs of health challenges like high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, and Parkinson’s disease, handwriting analysis is used to detect more than 5,000 personality traits. Graphology practitioners say the size of your letters, the space you insert between words, the shapes of your letter forms can all be mapped to personality characteristics and more. Handwriting analysis can even be used for crime-fighting (for example, detecting lies).
